by Madison Gates

Paris Cooperative High School’s students are involved in many different extracurricular activities, such as scholastic bowl, drama and sports. From basketball to football Paris high school students do well in all of these things.

Girls’ spring season of softball is just around the corner. The varsity and junior varsity teams will be coached by Ralph Haase. The softball tryouts for this year’s spring season were held on a Monday, February 28.

Girls from all grades tried out for the team. They have been having open gyms since around the beginning of November.

“We had open gyms every Sunday,” stated Sarah Powers, a freshman here at Paris High School. The girls have been practicing hard for this year’s upcoming season! They are hoping for a lot of wins.

“I think that we will do swell,” Sarah Powers also said.

The girls’ first game will be on Wednesday, March 16th. The lady tigers will be facing Okaw Valley. The junior varsity game will be starting at 6:00 p.m. @ Okaw.

Their next game will be on Thursday the 17th. The Lady Tigers will be playing a home game against Tolono. The junior varsity game will also start at 6:00 p.m. All of the girls would greatly appreciate your support! For more game dates visit the Paris Cooperative High School website!
