Boy's Tennis Heads Back to the Courts

by Meredith Penczek

Once again the Paris tennis courts are ringing with the sounds of feet running back and forth. PCHS Boys’ Tennis has started again. Almost every day after school, the boys meet at the tennis courts for practice. The familiar couch is Mrs. McFatridge. If you go past the courts, you’ll usually hear one of the team members shouting their phrase of “that’s what she said!”

Just like on any team, there is some tension between players, but Coach McFatridge does her best to keep it under control. She does allow however, the seniors to play their little jokes on the underclassmen. The seniors played their role of teasing the freshmen by giving each one their own little pet name. Mike Wells is Lizzie. Shawn Thomas is Carol. Aaron Garver is Miranda. Shawn ‘Carol’ Thomas said when asked if the seniors give any pointers during practice. “[The seniors] do, but some don’t really take much from them though”
